WHY ARE YOU AFRAID?

Jesus asked the disciples on the sinking boat “why are you afraid”?

They were afraid because they felt like their whole life has come to a full stop. Yes, a full stop.

Full Stop!

These are two words that describe our lives today. We, our journeys seem to have come to a full stop. It’s a deafening silence everywhere we go or look. Darkness has invaded our public and private spaces. Our town is empty; it is empty everywhere! We feel emptied inside, with have no sign nor sights of what lies ahead. Are we going to die, our mind keep asking? Maybe yes, maybe no. One thing for sure is that we don’t know what tomorrow looks like. Not knowing what is coming next makes it even more difficult for us to bear.

But we can find comfort in what the disciples in the sinking boat did, they called upon Jesus and trusted He had the solution to their life threatening problems. They survived, we too are going to survive this pandemic because we are calling on Jesus every day.

Let faith not fear shower our life today.
